What is so different of traveling to Indochina?
And....what is Indochina?
Indochina comes from the French name of 'L'Indochine'. During French colonial days the countries which were part of l'Indochine were Cambodia, Laos & Vietnam.
Today we consider these countries as emerging tourism destinations. Together with Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam are countries worth to visit now!
So where to go? What is the best time? Which countries to visit first? How many days should you spend in each country?
We can say that all these countries are worth to visit a minimum of 10 to 14 days. Some countries such as Cambodia is smaller in size then Myanmar or Vietnam. Therefore visiting Cambodia in 10 days is possible but Vietnam and Myanmar need a minimum of 14 days. To discover these countries more indepth, best is to prepare to visit for 21 days. Laos is the only land-locked country and ideal for 'off the beaten' track program. From North to South Laos will take a minimum of 10 days.
The best period to visit this region is in the winter. There will be less rain and you will most likely get clear blue skies, which is excellent for picture taking.
